A pleasant surprise in the country...

Guests rave about the Essenhaus Inn & Conference Center where they enjoy old-fashioned quality with all the modern conveniences! Unique decor, which reflects the local community and culture, adds to the comfort and hospitality you expect in Amish Country. Offering 89 generously-sized guestrooms, our facility was designed to meet the individual needs of our guests. Please allow the Essenhaus Inn & Conference Center to be your "home away from home" during your visit to Northern Indiana Amish Country. Seven additional guest rooms are located nearby at our "Dawdy Haus" - a perfect getaway for families.

A bit of history...

The Essenhaus Inn & Conference Center was introduced to the community and out-of-area travelers in April, 2004. To successfully create a pleasant surprise in the country that everyone would enjoy, the individual needs of past guests were considered before the project was even started.

We heard again and again that our previous guests appreciated the charm and quaint home-like atmosphere. Therefore, we maintained those characteristics by connecting the expansion project to the original 33 guest-room inn with a lengthy hallway. Accessible by walking or using the elevator, guests are welcome to enjoy both areas of the Inn - the Atrium area as well as the newly created Essenhaus Inn & Conference Center. You're sure to enjoy your stay and the surrounding Amish countryside as you discover our "pleasant surprise in the country".
